Sue Hale, 86, of Hillsboro passed away Friday, November 30, 2018, at her residence. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Born February 18, 1932, in Brashear, TX, she was the daughter of James and Lois (Stewart) Romack. She was a graduate of Sulphur Springs High School. On June 2, 1951, Sue was united in marriage to Onie Hale and he preceded her in death on November 23, 1997. For much of her life she quilted and did alterations. A member of First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro, Sue served her church as a communion steward and in the choir. She was also a member of the Hillsboro Garden Club and Newcomer’s Club
Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, James Romack and Billy Jack Romack; and great-granddaughter, Macie Grace Honesto.
Survivors include her children, Stephen Hale and wife, Lana, of Groesbeck, Sharon Prentice and husband, Darren, of Allen, and Susan Lee and husband, Darrell, of Cleburne; sister, Wanda Wheeler of Ohio; five grandchildren, Jordan Haley Honesto and husband, Neil, Clinton Reese Prentice, Ty Stephen Hale, Allie Michele Hale, and Zach Lee; and two great-grandchildren, Colton James Honesto and Jaxon Reed Honesto.
