Biography

Sue Gunter Morgan, 90, of Georgetown, slipped away peacefully on Sunday, August 19, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM before the service.

Sue was born April 7, 1922 in Hillsboro. She married O.T. Morgan in June 1951 and lived in Abbott most of her life. She was a member of the Abbott United Methodist Church and a homemaker. Sue was very active in her children’s school, from room mother, to baking her famous chocolate cakes for school carnivals, and attending her children’s sporting activities.

Her passion for ceramics lead her to teach classes in her home to the high school students and also adult classes and participated in ceramic shows.

Sue is survived by her four children, Donna Fajkus and husband, Jim, of Georgetown, Paul Morgan of Carrollton, Kay Clark and husband, Ed, of Cedar Hill, and Ted Morgan and wife, Sharon, of Austin; five grandchildren, Greg, Jeff, Jennifer, Michael and Lindsey; four great-grandchildren, Camille, Claire, Caroline and Reagan.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Paul Gunter in 1939, Ethel Gunter in 1963 and her husband, O.T. Morgan in 1978.
