Sue Murphy

Sue Murphy, 78, of Whitney passed away on July 28, 2009. Sue was born on March 23, 1931 in Hill County to the late Ennis and Francis Marsh Hutchison. She married Lee Dale Murphy, Sr. on March 11, 1950. Sue worked as a LVN and in 1971 she became the Director of Nursing at Town Hall Estates in Whitney. In 1983, she was promoted to administrator and retired in 1996. She enjoyed taking care of her Boston Terrier, Angel, and watching her granddaughter play basketball. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Whitney. Preceding her in death were her husband, Lee Dale Murphy, Sr. on March 28, 2007; daughter, Gail Murphy and son, Lee Dale Murphy, Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Dawn Murphy of Whitney; granddaughter, Tiffany Murphy of Aquilla; daughter-in-law, Pam Murphy Clepper and husband, Jerry of Aquilla and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
