Biography
Sue Turner, 86 of Hillsboro passed away on October 8, 2011 in Waco.
Funeral services will held on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Danny Gilliam officiating. Visitation will be from Noon - 1:00 PM prior to the service. Interment will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Sue was born on March 17, 1925 in Kaufman County, the daughter of Ivy and Cordye (Miller) Messer. She grew up in the Peoria Community and moved to Hillsboro where she went to High School. On August 2, 1942, she married James Paul Turner and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1986. Sue worked for Sears both in Hillsboro and Waco and after her retirement she went to work as a clerk for Family Diagnostic Medical Center. She enjoyed working and keeping up with the Texas Rangers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro.
Also preceding her in death were her son, Charles David Turner on October 9,1968 and brother, Charles Messer on June 29, 2009.
Survivors include sister-in-law, Margaret Messer of New Braunfels; nephew, Chuck Messer of New Braunfels; niece, Marie Messer of San Antonio.
