Sue Yocham, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, 91, of Hillsboro left this world Tuesday, March 11, 2014, surrounded by her sons. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Mr. Gene Edens officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014, at the funeral home.

A life long Hill County resident, she was born the 6th of 9 children to Marvin and Nettie (Brawley) Girault in Woodbury on July 16, 1922. At age 10, her father died unexpectedly in 1932 creating hardships for the Girault family. As strong families do, the Girault family endured hard work, lasting faith and strong family love, which well describes Ollie Sue Yocham. A graduate of Hillsboro High School, she married Elvis Yocham on January 24, 1943. He preceded her in death on July 26, 1994.

She was devoted to her family and her faith. She was an active member of the West Side Church of Christ and later the College Hill Church of Christ, both in Hillsboro. She was also preceded in death her parents; brother, Malcolm and his wife, Blanche Girault; brother, Bryan and his wife, Nola Girault; brother, Roy and wife, Bonnie Girault; brother, Eugene Girault; sister, Jeanette and her husband, AW Keenum; sister, Mary Lee and husbands, Lynn Parham and Emmett Howell; sisters-in-law, Doris James and Ima Yocham; and brother-in-law, John Boatright.

Survivors include her sons, Royce and wife, Carol Yocham, of Ft Worth and Jerry Yocham of Hillsboro; sister, Joyce Girault of Van; brother-in-law, John Yocham of Lubbock; sister-in-law, Betty Boatright of Dallas; five grandchildren, Terri Erwin and husband, Bryan, of Flower Mound, Scott Yocham and wife, Shannon, of Waco, Melissa Cox and husband, Greg, of Hillsboro, Keri Hayes and Darren of Crawford, and Kacie Valencia and husband, Jesus, of Fort Worth; ten great-grandchildren, Cole, Cade, and Kylie Erwin, Ryan and Tyler Yocham, Carsyn and Addisyn Cox, Hattie and Jack Hayes, and Brandon Yocham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
