Susan Amanda (Graves) Thompson

Susan Amanda Thompson, age 67 of Whitney passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 20, 2023, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Marshall and Marshall.

Susan was born in Dallas, Texas on February 23, 1955, to Raymond W. and Billie Louis (Tucker) Morgan. She was very big on church and loved the Lord, dedicating her life to the Lord and her family. She made sure to spread the Lord’s word to everyone and made them believe. Family was very important, and she would do anything for them. Susan also loved watching the Dallas Cowboys, NASCAR, going fishing, and writing novels. She wrote 10 novels, and one published.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charlie Ray Thompson; brother, Mardie; sisters, Donna Kay, Jerry Flowers, and DT Morgan; son, David Graves.

Susan is survived by her children, Sheila Stamey, AJ Thompson, and Coe Thompson; brothers, Allen Morgan, Rodney Moore, Randy Moore, and Jeff Moore; sisters, Suni Moore, Ethal Morgan, and Jan Ward; grandchildren; David Stamey, Coen Bellamy, Bryson Bellamy, and Charlie Matheson.
