Susan Grimes

Susan Grimes 79, of Whitney passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 in Waco. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 11:00 am at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney. Officiating will be Pastor Greg Johnson of The First Church of The Nazarene. Visitation will be held from10:00- 11:00 am prior to the service.

Susan was born in Czechoslovakia on March 24, 1935 to Adolf and Maria ( Seifert ) Rentsch. She grew up in Germany and moved to the United States when she was 19, where she graduated from college with a degree in accounting. Susan married Richard Grimes on May 16, 1970. She worked in Civil Service for 30 years in accounting and financial services in various locations world wide. .She was a member of The First Church of The Nazarene and was church treasurer for 5 to 6 years. She and Richard were members of the Christian Motorcyclist Association.

Survivors include her husband Richard Grimes of Whitney, daughter; Susan Ward and husband Ben of Cheyenne Wy. Sisters; Christel Marz of Germany, and Annilise Geier of Germany, grandchildren; Amanda Avery, Benjamin Ward and wife Kimberly and Janelle Ward.
