Susan Lynn Stone, 64, of Blum, passed away on May 22, 2018, at an Arlington hospital. No services are scheduled at this time.

Susan was born on April 25, 1954, to Lester Andrew and Joyce Elaine (Martin) Jennings in Aurora, IL, where she grew up and graduated from West Aurora High School in 1968. She attend Eastfield College in Dallas and received an Associates Degree in computer science. From 1974 until 1989, she served her country in the United States Navy, stationed in California as well as in Germany, where she worked as a technician with data systems. She was also a long distance truck driver and home schooled her children while on the road. An avid traveler, she especially enjoyed taking cruises.

On October 2, 1990, she married James Clay Stone in New Mexico. She moved from Madisonville, had been a resident of the Whitney area for 12 years, and was a member of the Whitney American Legion Post #522.

Preceding her in death were her father, Lester Jennings and her husband, James Stone on March 25, 2011.

Survivors include her mother, Joyce Schmitt; in-laws, Fred and Judith Stone; children, Kristopher John Stone, Damien James Stone, Caidence Joy Stone; a grandson, Thayden James McCartney; brothers, Edward Schmitt, Stephen Schmitt and wife, Victoria and Jeffrey Schmitt; sisters, Janice Gilchrist and Diane Bruckmeier and husband, Walter.
