Susanne De Lisle

Susanne "Susie" De Lisle, 46, of Whitney passed away on August 30 at her residence. Susie was born on October 10, 1960, in Honalulu, Hawaii, the daughter of Dan and Judy Stark De Lisle. Susie graduated from Whitney High School in 1978; and received a Bachlors Degree in Education from Tarleton State University. After teaching for the Cleburne I.S.D., she served as service coordinator for Heart of Texas MHMR. Susie was actively involved with her sons; attending all of their sporting events baseball, basketball and soccer games. She volunteered at the Whitney Elementary School and served on the P.T.O. She was an avid craftswoman and a member of the Prairie Valley Baptist Church. Preceding her in death was her father and brother, Jeff De Lisle. Survivors include her mother, Judy De Lisle of Whitney; sons, Michael and Trey De Lisle of Whitney; brother, Danny De Lisle and wife, Audrey De Lisle of Liberty Hill; nephew, Cash De Lisle; niece, Nikole De Lisle both of Liberty Hill; aunts and uncles, Richard & Holly Ortwein of CA., Treasure De Lisle of CA., Charles and Eileen Overton of Whitney and Lillian Cushman of Roswell, NM.; cousins, Nancy and David Ridlehuber of Whitney, Maynard and Donna Sharrow of Whitney, Mike and Kim Sharrow of Whitney, and Tricia and Steve Ashcraft of Whitney, David and Mary Overton of San Antonio, Steve and Donna Overton of Whitney and Jeff and Ruth Overton of Whitney and several 2nd and 3rd cousins including special friend and cousin Deanna Hightower of Whitney.
