Sydna Diane Mosley

Sydna Diane Mosley was born February 14, 1947, to George Wilson Mosley and Sydna Stovall Mosley in Dallas and died on February 17, 2022, in her home in Odessa, Texas.

Diane grew up in Hillsboro, Texas and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1965. She attended the University of Texas Austin where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in Education. Diane worked as a high school counselor and teacher trainer in Georgetown and later in San Antonio. In 2016 she moved from Austin to Odessa, where she did substitute teaching in the local high schools.

Diane loved music. Folk singers like Joan Baez and Bob Dylan triggered her interest in learning to play the guitar, a pastime she enjoyed throughout her life. Diane was an enthusiastic tennis player and even won several tournaments in her high school years. Cooking was a pleasure she shared with others. In college she invented a pizza that became a family favorite remembered by her nephews to this day.

Diane will be missed by all, especially by her family who loved her dearly.

Diane is survived by her sister Margaret Mosley Lanzenberg and brother-in-law François Lanzenberg of Paris France; nephew Gregory Lanzenberg and nephew Anthony Lanzenberg, Marion, his wife, and their children Juliette, Basile and Abel all of Paris France; cousins Bill Martin of Fredericksburg, Alisa Aigner Brown of Waco and Shirley Stovall Rowe of Lawton, Oklahoma.
