Sydney Guidry Jr

Sydney Augustus Guidry, Jr., 64, of Covington, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2005, at his residence. He was born September 17, 1940 in Houston, Texas the son of Sydney Augustus Guidry, Sr. and Mary Sue Wells Guidry. Sydney was a loving husband, father and grandfather Papa. He was a Christian for he had made his peace with the Lord. Sydney was a man of good moral character. He will always be in our hearts and remembered with love and respect. Sydney?s ashes will rest with his wife at his home in Covington that they and their children built. Sydney is preceded in death by his brother Joseph Carroll Guidry. Survivors include his loving wife, Carolyn Marie Guidry; his children, David Guidry and his wife Brenda, Pamela Pinkerton and her husband Keith, Brian Guidry, Susan Marbut and her husband Jared, Elizabeth Betik and her husband Bart, and Philip Lancaster; two sisters, Glenda Guidry of Morgan and Betty Sue Allen of Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Mary Sue, Sarah, Miranda, William, David, Kerri, Aiden, and Sydney Marie; he was also survived by Rufus and Mary T. along with other beloved extended family and cherished friends.
