Tanya Timmons

Tanya Timmons, 44, of Malone passed away Sunday evening, February 4, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2018, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8, at the funeral home.

Born April 21, 1973 in Waco, she grew up in the West and Mart communities. On July 31, 2011, she was united in marriage to Brian Timmons. For the past 5 years, the couple had resided in Malone, where Tanya was a bartender for Whiskey River Saloon.

Taking care of her family, especially her kids and their friends, brought great joy to her life. She loved to cook and enjoyed preparing chicken and ribs for barbecue cookoffs. She also loved to sing karaoke. Tanya was affectionately known as “Wonder Woman” to her karaoke friends and customers. She was a member of the Malone Baptist Church and Malone Volunteer Fire Department.

Preceding her in death were her mother, Patricia Jean Stewart Trussell and grandparents, Harry and Altia Stewart and Louise and Annie Chudej.

Survivors include her husband, Brian Timmons of Malone; four daughters, Destiny Moran of Gholson, Erica Hutyra and husband, Derek, of Penelope, Brittany Camp of Coolidge, and Michaela Timmons of Abbott; father, Ed Chudej of West; three sisters, Tammie Pressley and husband, Gary, of Itasca, Gwen Chudej of Malone, and Kim Dach and husband, Bernie, of Moody; six grandchildren, Ashlyn Moran, Alyssa Teal, Dakota Teal, Addison Hutyra, Brayden Deal, and Bentley Deal; seven nephews, Ty Pressley, Trevor Chudej, Mason Chudej, Garrett Brown, Zach Lamaak, Kolton Lamaak, and Brandon Lamaak; and two great-nephews, Bentlee Lamaak and Camdyn Lamaak.
