Ted Carrington

Ted Harmon Carrington, age 91, of Hillsboro passed away Saturday morning, March 4, 2017, at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Darrel Beggs officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Born September 14, 1925 in Dallas, Ted was the son of Herschel and Ruby Estelle (Yarborough) Carrington. During World War II, he served his country for two years with the United States Navy stationed in Corpus Christi.

After 37½ years of being employed at Sherwin Williams Paint Company as warehouse manager, he retired to his farm in Hillsboro. Ted was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro, served as a volunteer firefighter in Garland, was a small plane pilot and 32nd degree Mason.

Preceding him in death were his parents; step-father, Roy Storey; two wives, Sue Carrington and Marie Hullett; and sister, Leone Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Erma Faye Carrington of Hillsboro; daughter, Sandra Eubanks of Minneapolis, MN; step-son, Jimmie Lynn Malone of Fort Worth; two grandchildren, Kyle Eubanks of North Carolina and Dana Carrington of California; five great-grandchildren, Amber Riggins, James Eubanks, Chris Eubanks, Megan Ericson, and Declan Riggins; and nephew, Randy Smith.
