Teddie Lankston

Teddie Ray Lankston, 72, of Whitney, passed away on April 2, 2017 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., April 10, 2017, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Teddie was born on September 15, 1944, in Wichita Falls, to R.T. and Dorothy (Fair) Lankston.
He served his country in the United States Navy. A local handyman, he enjoyed working with jewelry and also woodworking, especially building birdhouses. He kept an excellent yard as he loved being outdoors and also enjoyed fishing. Teddie was of the Lutheran faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Timothy Lankston.

Survivors include his daughter, RaLona Moran and husband, Tom of Springtown; brother, Richard Lankston of Whitney; a daughter-in-law, Rita Lankston of Saginaw; grandchildren, Shena Deas, Samantha Page, Bailie Moran, Mandie Douglas, Aric Douglas, and Cerena Douglas; eight great-grandchildren.
