Tena Austin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tena Austin, who left us on April 9, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on December 3, 1957, Tena was a shining light in the lives of those who knew her, bringing warmth, laughter, and an abundance of love to her family and friends.

Tena's journey through life was characterized by her unwavering spirit and kindness. She was a sister, an aunt, and a cherished friend to many, whose impact will be felt for years to come. Tena, beloved companion of David Esquibel, cherished stepmother of Ashley and Loving Grandmother of Francis is also survived by her beloved brother Clark, sister Bridget (Ewell) Carter, and sister-in-law, Chris Austin. She also leaves behind her step-sisters Mary (Hector) Ramirez and Emily (James) Stafiej, and special friend to Ashley and Francis Esquibel, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Sr. and Elaine Austin, stepmother Helen Cully, along with her brothers, James Jr. and Rex, and step-brothers Milton and Paul Cully. Tena's late nephew, Michael Carter, also left a mark in the hearts of those who loved him, and Tena's bond with her family continues beyond this life.

Tena's vibrant spirit and her love for others forged deep connections that enriched lives. She will be dearly missed, yet her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we gather to remember Tena, we take comfort in our shared memories and the love that she bestowed upon us. She will always be remembered, not just for the years she lived, but for the moments she created and the lives she touched.
