Thomas Sanders

Thomas Sanders 66, of Whitney passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015 in Waco. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.

Thomas was born on March 9, 1949 in Meridian to Wesley and Margaret (Copeland) Sanders. He lived most of his life in Hill county. In 1967 he married Wanda Brown.

Thomas served his country in the United States Air Force from 1974 to 1982. He worked in the heating and air conditioning service business in Whitney for 7 years. He also worked for the City of Whitney Housing Authority. Thomas was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Whitney V.F.W.

Preceding him in death were his father; brothers, Bobby Wayne Sanders, Larry Sanders and Jimmy Sanders.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Sanders of Whitney; mother, Margaret Sanders of Whitney; children, Suzanne Sanders and Kim Peacock of Whitney; brothers, Michael Sanders and Carroll Sanders of Gainesville; sisters, Teresa Hurt and Gale Broun of Gainesville; grandchildren, Clinton Peacock, Daniel Peacock, Nathan Sanders, Anthony Sanders and Barry Thornton all of Whitney; great-grandchildren, Christina and Michelle Peacock of Whitney.
