Timothy Montgomery

Timothy Van Montgomery, 50, of Hillsboro died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. He was born September 4, 1959 in Arlington to Jerry Lee and Hazel Jo Paris Montgomery. In 1978 he graduated from Hillsboro High School. On February 22, 2001 he married Penney Lane. For 6 years, he was the detail manager for Cole Ford in Hillsboro. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy and Texas Longhorn Fan and he loved the Hillsboro Eagles. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and was of the Baptist faith. Preceding him in death were his mother; sister, Linda Hunt; and son, Austin Montgomery. Survivors include wife, Penney Montgomery of Hillsboro; father & step-mother, Jerry and Mary Montgomery of Hillsboro; six children, Ashley Ward and husband, Malcolm of Hillsboro, T. J. Montgomery, Jr. of Hillsboro, Courtney Montgomery of Houston, Tiffany DeFord of Hillsboro, Christopher DeFord of Hillsboro, and Jason Horn of Terrell; two brothers, Robert Montgomery and wife Shelley; and Daniel Montgomery and wife, Chandra, all of Hillsboro; sister, Pam Montgomery of Hillsboro; and four grandchildren, Trey Mathis, Morgan Ward, and Jasmine and Kimberly DeFord all of Hillsboro.
