Timothy Daniel Sanders

Timothy Daniel Sanders, age 82 of Stephenville, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Stephenville Nursing Home in Stephenville. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Whitney Memorial Park in Whitney with Ron Shackleford officiating.  A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Tim was born in Roscoe, TX March 22, 1941.  He grew up in West Texas, where he worked in the oil fields. He started working in the construction field, and owned his own contracting business for many years in Fort Worth, TX.  There is nothing he could not remodel, build, or create.  He loved working with his hands, and enjoyed woodworking, and made many pieces of furniture.  In later life, he and his wife moved to Stephenville, TX and began cattle ranching.  He loved to fish and to ride his UTV around the ranch.  He was a collector – with a vast assortment of guns, knives, and arrowheads.

He was baptized at Roscoe Baptist and for many years, he attended Cedar Point Baptist Church, in Bluff Dale, TX where he enjoyed services and socials. What a joy to fall asleep, and awake healthy and whole, in the arms of his precious Savior, Jesus Christ.

Timothy is survived by his 4 children, Terri Evans, and husband Jon, of Arlington, TX, Dianna Ward, and husband Elvis, of Cleburne, TX, Cory Mitchell, and wife, Renee, of DeLeon, TX, and Danielle Daves, and husband Trinity, of Hot Springs, AR; his sister, Rebecca (Becky) Scott, and husband Tommy, of Pearland, TX;  his 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Sanders and Ada Walton Sanders; his wife of 33 years, Dolores Wallace Mitchell Sanders; and one brother, Samuel Sanders.
