Tina Olivas

Tina Olivas, 82, of Hillsboro died Friday, December 19, 2008, at Doctor's Hospital. Tina was born October 16, 1926 in Hillsboro, Texas, where she grew up, the daughter of Augustine, Sr. and Gonzala Jimenez Maldonado. On February 10, 1964 she married Nick Olivas and he preceded her in death on July 12, 1993. For many years she worked for Hillsboro I.S.D. at the elementary school cafeteria. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Frank; sister, Christine; and her step-mother, Rita Maldonado. Survivors include two brothers, Rudy Maldonado of Hillsboro and Augustine Maldonado, Jr. of Lancaster; two sisters, Edna Aldaco of Dallas and Mary Munoz of Irving; and many nieces and nephews.
