Tom Parker

Tom Parker 68, of Whitney, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney. Officiating will be Chaplain Rick Aguilar. A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the funeral home.

Tom was born on December 21, 1947 in Fort Worth to Leo and Velma (Ward) Parker Gunter. He grew up in Arlington. He owned and operated his own Repossession company for 35 years. He moved to Whitney in 2003 and retired from work in 2011. Tom enjoyed working with his cattle and being outdoors.

Preceded in death by his father, Leo Parker.

Survivors include his mother Velma Gunter of Whitney; children, Chuck Parker and wife, Nicole of Midlothian, Brett Parker of Midlothian and Brenda Langston and husband, Ryan of Round Rock, 7 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren.
