Tom Tiwater

Tom “Tommy” Curney Tiwater, 42 of Blum, went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 15, 2016, at the Blum High School Gymnasium in Blum with Rev Shawntay Owens, officiating. Tommy was born on April 1, 1974, in Cleburne. He was extremely loved and will be missed severely by all who knew him. His wife has stated he was the greatest man.

An avid fisherman, Tommy loved the outdoors. He was with the Grandview Volunteer Fire Department for the four years he was in high school and he also played football as an offensive lineman for the Grandview Zebras.

Since high school, Tommy raised his family in Blum while he worked at Gerdau in Midlothian for 20 years. He recently helped start the Blum six man youth football program. Tommy served and is highly respected as the Blum Youth Association Football Commissioner. Very proud of the kids under his supervision, he treated every child like his own.

Tommy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Mary Tiwater; and Tom Mann of Glen Rose.

Survivors include his wife, Amber Dawn (Harris) Tiwater; daughter, Anjelica Jean Tiwater of Burleson; sons, Thomas Kelley Glen Tiwater (“TK”), Ty Cutter Tiwater, and Cody J. Harris of Blum; his mother, Susan Jane Tiwater; three sisters who live out of state; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
