Tommy Compton

Tommy Compton, age 67, of Fort Worth passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at his residence. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 27, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Dr. Bob Nichols of Calvary Cathedral International officiating.

On March 21, 1949, Tommy was born in Hillsboro to Oleta Everett and Raymond J. Compton. He lived in Hillsboro until age 18, when he moved to Fort Worth. Tommy had various jobs through the years, but always was known for his out-going personality. He would give you the shirt off his back. Everyone in his neighborhood knew Tommy. A gifted salesman, he loved to have yard sales and interact with people. He worshiped at Calvary Cathedral International in Fort Worth where he was a member.

Tommy was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to talk Cowboys with anyone. He also enjoyed caring for his cats.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Jackie Compton; sister, Nancy Compton Walker; and a granddaughter. Survivors include a daughter, Tommie Lynette Roe and husband, Tony, of Stephenville; sister, Bobbie Avila and husband, Joe, of Fort Worth; and 4 grandsons.
