Tommy Lorron Helms, Sr.

Tommy Lorron Helms Sr., age 75 of Whitney passed away peacefully Thursday, December 9, 2021, with his loving wife and 3 sons by his side. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney with Pastor Greg Johnson and Son Donald Burnett.

Tommy Helms Sr. was born January 23, 1946, in Whitney, Texas to Otis and Jimmie (Buchanan) Helms. He was born and raised in Whitney. Tommy spoke often about the old home place where he grew up and was grateful that God enabled him to live on the land he was born and raised on.

Tommy was a hard-working man who made sure his family was feed, they had clothes on their back, and a roof over their heads. He loved his family and God, he served 6 years in the National Guard, stationed in Hillsboro, Texas, and he will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Shirley Helms of Whitney, TX, sons, daughters, grandkids, great grandkids and several nephews and nieces.
