Tommy Lewis Pelham age 73, of Whitney passed away Friday evening October 10, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday October 14, 2014 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney. Officiating will be Rev. Donald Way and Rev. John Moore. Interment to follow at Heath Cemetery with Masonic rites and military honors. Visitation will be held on Monday October 13, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Tommy was born on July 30, 1941in the Huron Community of Hill county to the late William Edward and Wilma ( Newsom ) Pelham. He married Viviann Edgemon on January 9, 1978 in Fort Worth. The couple lived in Fort Worth where Tommy worked for Bell Helicopter for 37 ½ years as a forklift operator before retiring in 2002. The couple then moved to Whitney to enjoy their retirement together. Tommy served his country in the Army National Guard from 1962 to 1964. He was a faithful and active member of the Steiner Valley Baptist Church and Whitney Masonic Lodge Post # 522. He had a special love for woodworking, fishing and restoring old cars.

He is preceded in death by his 2 brothers and 6 sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Viviann Pelham of Whitney, children; Tommy Pelham and wife Vanessa, Sonya Pelham, Suzy Cadena and husband Rene, Sisters; Laverne McKeehan, Jo Wilson and husband Harrell and Lilly Beck, sister-in-laws; Velma Pelham, Alice Chapman and husband Bud, five grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
