Biography

Tony Spann, 44, of Whitney passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Cross Christian Fellowship Church, 4773 FM 933 in Whitney, with Roger Dove officiating.

Tony was born May 1, 1967 in Fort Worth to Delbert Spann and Irene (Gardner) Lowery. He grew up in Arlington and Lewisville. In 2002 he moved to the Hillsboro and Whitney areas. He had worked at “Up In Smoke” for 2 years and had recently worked at Haliburton. He was a member of AA in Whitney.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Irene and Ted Lowery of Hillsboro; father and step-mother, Delbert and Darylene Spann of Pottsboro; fiancé, Patty Price of Whitney; three children, Caysey Douglas and husband, John, of Dalhart, Tyler Spann of American Fork, UT, and Morgan Spann of Mineral Wells; sister, Melissa Crockett and husband, Matt, of Mineral Wells; two grandchildren, Avery and Isaac Douglas; and four nieces, Jennifer Spann, Alana Barnes, Lacy Barnes, and Haley Barnes.
