Tony Zettler

Tony Huse Zettler, 89, of Hillsboro, formerly of Bynum, died Saturday, October 10, 2009, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Tony was born November 9, 1919 in the Honey Flat Community of Hill County the daughter of Adolph W. and Meta Neumann Huse. She lived on the same farm in the Honey Flat Community all of her life. On Oct. 30, 1938 she married Walter Zettler at Salem Lutheran Church and he preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 1997. A lifetime member of Salem Lutheran Church, Tony was baptized there on Dec. 7, 1919, confirmed on April 2, 1934, taught Sunday school for 16 years, was a member of the Ladies Aide, and served as president, vice president, and secretary on the fund-raising committee. For 11 years she worked at Texas Miller in Corsicana and helped her husband on the farm and ranch all of her life. Also preceding her in death were her parents; son, Walter Ray Zettler; three sisters, Marie Huse Sonnenberg, Hattie Huse Sonnenberg, and Lillie Huse Radke; and two brothers, Alvin and Wilton Huse.
