Tracy Mcconathy

Tracy Jack McConathy, 86 of Whitney passed away June 30, 2010. Jack was born on Sept. 27, 1923 in Hill County; the son of the late Charles Benjamin and Margaret Ann Daniels McConathy. On June 6, 1946 he married Ruby Collins in Mountain Home, Ark. and she preceded him in death on Dec. 2, 2004. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He lived and worked in the Bryan College Station area before moving to Whitney in 1982. Jack was an avid hunter, fisherman and a very hard worker. He was a member of the VFW Post #522 in Whitney. He was of the Baptist faith. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Heritage, six brothers and five sisters. Survivors include his children, Charles R. McConathy of Hill Top Lakes, and Diana Scott of Klamath Falls, Oregon; sister, Edith Jewel Baxley of Sutter Creek, CA; 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
