Travis Dean Moore, Sr., 50, of Milford passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014, at his residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2014, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro with Father Ouseph Thekkumthala officiating and Deacon Denver Crawley assisting. Burial will follow at Fatima Cemetery near Abbott. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro.
Travis was born November 17, 1963 in Waxahachie to William B. and Dorothy (Essary) Moore, Sr. In 1981, he graduated from Kimball High School and went to work in the family concrete business until he was 24. He last worked as a state auto inspector in Red Oak. On May 23, 2004, he married Carol Loyd in Fort Worth. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Travis always had a smile for everyone and loved to joke with people, and loved music. Preceding him in death were his mother, Dorothy, and step-mother, Rayann Moore, who raised him from the time he was four.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Moore of Milford; father and his wife, William B. Moore, Sr. and Virginia of Dallas; six children, Travis Dean Moore, Jr. and wife, Candice, of Arlington, Michael Allen Moore of Checotah, OK, Amanda Lee Malega and husband, Tim, of Midwest City, OK, Robert Steven Adolph and wife, Mechele, of Fort Lee, VA, Kim Bassett and husband, Brandon, of Bradenton, FL, and Lindsay Huckleberry and husband, Bobby, of Arlington; seven brothers, William B. Moore, Jr. of Dallas, Lee Glasco and wife, Michelle, of Joshua, Rodney Lovegrove and wife, Pernilla of PA, Ron Lovegrove and wife, Kathy, of Hamlin, Ernest De La Garza and wife, Kay, of Ennis, David Santana of Dallas, and Ostavio Espinoza and wife, Deannette, of Round Rock; five sisters, Debbie Bayer and husband, Bill, of Junction, Sherry Ramirez and husband, Ramon of Nacogdoches, Toscha Reeves and husband, Doug, of Irving, Pamela Andrews and husband, Darrel, of Dallas, and Nelda Martinez and husband, Canuto, of Dallas; eight grandchildren, Baileigh, Lillian, Scialus, Wesley, Brad, Ryan, William, and Dalton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
