Treasure Elise (Bennett) Hawhee

Treasure Elise Hawhee (80) of Covington, Texas, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021, surrounded by family members.  Funeral services will be at noon, Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro, Texas.  Visitation will take place from 10:00 am to noon on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro, Texas.

Treasure was born January 3, 1941, to Chester and Frances (Barnett) Bennett, in Covington, Texas.  She graduated from high school then attended McClennan Community College to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.  On December 23, 1972, she married Ray Allen Hawhee and enjoyed forty-nine years as his wife.  Treasure worked for various nursing homes and home health companies, finally retiring from Hill Regional Hospital.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading Scripture, taking care of people, and being with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Treasure is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Lee Riley; her granddaughter, Krystal Michelle Gardner; her sister, Nancy Kay Bennett.  She is survived by her husband, Ray Allen Hawhee; her son, Ray Allen Hawhee and his wife Kimberly; her daughter, Mary Katherine Hawhee and her husband James; her daughter, Treasure Lawanna Mullins and her husband Keith Oliver; her son, Melvin Shannon Riley; her son James Edward Gardner; her grandchildren, Gracie, Kinzley, Ashley, Stetson, Brandon, Katherine, Charlotte, Keith, Latricia, Trenton, Stacie, Heather, James, Timothy, Krystal, and Tamara;   and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
