Tressie Bailey

Tressie was the daughter of Robert and Nizzie Ellen Lollis Chambers and was born December 19, 1924 in Sequoyah, OK. As a small child the family moved to Rosebud, TX where they lived for several years. Tressie married Fred Everett Bailey on October 17, 1942 and they lived in Ft. Worth following their marriage. She and her husband enjoyed camping, fishing and square dancing. Tressie had lived in Whitney for the past ten years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and eleven siblings. Survivors include three children, James Bailey and wife Ann of Whitney; Duane Bailey of Weatherford and Barbara Fern of Arlington; one sister, Lucille Pruett of Austin; seven grandchildren, Kim Fern, Belinda Bailey, Tamara Bailey, Beau Bailey, McKenzie Bailey, Blake Bailey and Laci Bailey; and 7 great-grandchildren
