Tressie Hilton

Tressie Hilton, 95, of Hillsboro passed away Friday, December 21, 2012, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Mr. Dudley Watson officiating. Burial will follow at New Woodbury Cemetery near Woodbury. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012, at the funeral home.

Tressie was born August 8, 1917 in the Woodbury Community to S. R. and Etta (Jean) Perkins. On September 18, 1935 she married Bert Wilson Hilton in Hillsboro and he preceded her in death on July 8, 1999. A very family oriented person, Tressie loved to cook for them, spend time with them, and help out on the farm. She was a very devoted and faithful member of the Church of Christ.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; an infant son, Arvis Hilton; two brothers, Pete and Page Perkins; and two sisters, Margie Sisk and Vernette Hamilton.

Survivors include her children, Virgil Hilton and wife, Joan, of Hillsboro and Joyce Morris and husband, Dale, of Woodbury; seven grandchildren, Ricky Hilton and wife, Ruth, Lori Morton, and husband, Eric, Keri Cordell and husband, Gary, Will Cordell, Jordan Cordell, Kathy Shaw, and Lynette Rice and husband, Larry; and nine great-grandchildren, Emily Morton, Joseph Morton, Kaylee Cordell, Brittney Hilton, Peyton Cordell, David Shaw, Emily Shaw, Colt Shaw, and Christi Monhan.
