Troy Priddy, 85, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. There will be no services scheduled.
Troy was born October 8, 1928 in Abilene to Rev. William Thomas and Margaret Elizabeth (Garrett) Priddy. He grew up in Anson. On February 9, 1946, he married Doris Brannan and they moved to Fort Worth. For many years, he worked as a butcher with several major grocery store chains. He also owned and operated a restaurant for 20 years. Troy was an avid Texas Rangers fan and was a member of a Masonic Lodge and Shriners.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife, Doris, on May 19, 2011.
Survivors include his children, Rodney Priddy and wife, Carol, of Hurst and Arlynda McClanahan and husband, James, of Hillsboro (owners of MiMi & PaPa’s Kitchen in Malone); five grandchildren, Tabitha Rawlings, Treysa Jones, Trachelle Tanner, Marcus Priddy, and Troy McClanahan; and five great-grandchildren, Jerrit, Bailey, Kynleigh, Hayden, and Anna Marie.
