Uetta Taylor

Uetta Lomelia Taylor, 88 of Whitney passed away on March 27, 2012.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro with Donnie Button officiating. Viewing will be Wednesday from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Uetta was born on August 27, 1923 in Cleburne to Charlie P. and Flora (Bickerstaff) Sampson. She grew up in Hillsboro and married Joe Taylor on May 31, 1941. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2007. They lived in Whitney until 1948 and then returned in 1972. Uetta was a member of the Eastern Star 930 in Whitney.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Survivors include her daughter Brenda Button and husband, Brent of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Lonnie, Donnie and Mark Button; 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
