Valerie Lewis

Valerie Vorderlandwehr Lewis, 51, of Hillsboro died Monday, December 13, 2010, in Hillsboro. Valerie was born October 5, 1959 in Dallas the daughter of Dr. Robert M., DDS and Marie Mirtz Vorderlandwehr. On October 24, 1980 she married Richard Lewis in Hillsboro and he preceded her in death on July 9, 1993. Valerie loved her children and grandchildren very much. She enjoyed shopping at craft stores and doing arts and crafts. Family vacations, watching her grandchildren playing sports, and just being with her family and friends were some of her favorite times in life. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. Also preceding her in death were her parents and father-in-law, Charles Lewis. Survivors include her three children, Cassandra Sexton and husband, Howard, Stephanie Vantreese and husband, Ray, and Cody Lewis and wife, Stephanie, all of Hillsboro; brother, Bobby Vorderlandwehr and wife, See, of Hillsboro; mother-in-law, Claudette Lewis of Whitney; six grandchildren, Mackenzie, Mallorie, and Mylie Sexton, Brynlie Vantreese, and Austin and Mason Lewis all of Hillsboro; Raymie Vorderlandwehr of Hillsboro; brother-in-law, Roy Lewis and wife, Susan, of Burleson; three sisters-in-law, Susan Sinclair and husband, Harold, Ruby Robinson and husband, Donny, and Virginia Bradley and husband, Tommy, all of Whitney; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
