Veleta Johnson

Veleta Faye ?Midge? Johnson, 64, of Irene died Monday, March 29, 2010, at Lake Whitney Medical Center in Whitney. Midge was born November 20, 1943 in Floydada, TX to the late Elbert and Birdie Young Johnson. Midge loved to shop, put puzzles together, and play Monopoly. She was of the Church of Christ faith. Survivors include six brothers, Jimmy Johnson and wife, Peggy, of Cleburne, Sammy Johnson and wife, Carolyn, of Cleburne, Bobby Johnson and wife, Judy of Covington, Richard Johnson and wife, Lora, of Blum, David Johnson and wife, Jeanette, of Covington, and Harold Johnson and wife, Janet, of Odessa; and five sisters, Peggy Perkins of Covington, Barbara Russell of Glen Rose, Linda Henzler and husband, Charley, of Slaton, Carolyn Gray and husband, Weldon, of Topeka, KS, and Sharon Hargrove and husband, Fred, of Irene.
