Venita Dollar, 71, of Hillsboro died Monday afternoon, December 11, 2006, at her home with her family. Venita was born February 6, 1935 in Mayfield, Texas the daughter of Jesse Vernon and Hazel Lodeska Smith. She attended school in Mayfield and graduated from Hillsboro High School. On February 12, 1956 she married James Dollar and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1992. She lived most of her life in Hillsboro, where she and her husband owned and operated a welding shop for many years. She was a member of College Hill Church of Christ and a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program in Hillsboro. Also preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Vernon Lowell Smith. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Rene? and Stephen Kemp and Teresa and Kevin Boyd all of Hillsboro; and D?Ette and Andy Beruck of Centerville, South Dakota; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Debbie Dollar of Mandeville, Louisiana and Jack and Donna Dollar of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Keri Kemp of Fort Worth; Justin Kemp of Belton; Brandi Beruck and Ashley Beruck of Centerville, South Dakota; and Lauren Boyd and Jacob Dollar of Hillsboro.
