Vera Bilderback

Vera Lee Hopper Bilderback went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at the age of 98. She was a long time resident of Hillsboro but moved to Seguin in 1997 where she passed away.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro, where she will be laid to rest by the side of her late husband. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Jones, associate pastor at Grace City Church. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Vera was born on May 11, 1912 in Sulphur Springs to William Lafette and Sarah Alice (Fitch) Hopper. On November 24, 1933 she married Rev. T. C. Bilderback. She was a member of Living Waters Worship Center in Seguin and Hillsboro Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #769.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. T. C. Bilderback, and is survived by her two sons, Charles Edwill Bilderback and wife, Paulette, of Seguin, Ted Donnell Bilderback and wife, Carolyn, of Hillsboro; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
