Vicki Schmidt

Vicki Stephanie Schmidt, 52, of Fort Worth passed away peacefully Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Huguley Memorial Medical Center following a brief illness. Vicki was born in Hillsboro, TX and attended school in Fort Worth. Vicki continued her education at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. She earned her under-graduate and graduate degree in the field of Home Economics which served her well as she chose her quest in life to enrich the lives of families and individuals. She later earned an additional Master of Business Administration. Her career began as a professional home economist and she also taught in the Tyler I.S.D. Vicki worked in the health care profession and was most recently a hospital contracting executive with Humana Inc. Vicki was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Daily Schmidt. Survivors includer her well loved pets; father, Bill Schmidt of Hillsboro; sister, Teresa Kidd of Charlotte, NC; nephew, Danny Lee Mayo, Jr. of Raleigh, NC; and nieces, Britne Cain of Columbus, OH and Stephanie Johnson of New Boston, TX. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and their children, along with a host of many friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a higher institution of education.
