Victor Arther

Victor Lee Arther, 59, of Hillsboro died Saturday, January 20, 2007. Victor was born July 7, 1947 in Dallas, Texas the son of L. J. and Beulah Exum Arther. He married Shirley Askew on October 19, 1991 in Slidell, Louisiana. Victor served his country in the United States Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam and in Desert Storm, retiring in 1994. He was an avid golfer, extreme fisherman, and loved to work with wood. He loved life to the fullest. He was a member of the Itasca Masonic Lodge and the Church on the Hill of Hillsboro. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Arther of Hillsboro; sons, Tracy Lee Arther and wife, Tracy Lee, of Augusta, South Carolina and Joshua Allen Arther of Hillsboro; brother, Robert Arther and wife, Joyce, of Adel, South Carolina; granddaughter, Layla Arther of Augusta, South Carolina; and grandson, Ethan Arther of Augusta, South Carolina
