Virginia “Ginny” Branscome, 80, of Penelope passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2019, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro with Pastor Michael Nemec of Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday prior to service time at the cemetery.

Ginny was born February 11, 1939, in Oklahoma. For most of her life she worked in home health and nursing homes as a care giver. A loving Mee Mee to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many neighborhood children, Ginny always attended their sports and other activities they had going on in their lives. On August 7, 1987, she was united in marriage to Joseph Branscome. She was an avid collector of many things. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and knitting. She was of the Church of Christ faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents and first husband, Jack Scarbro.

Survivors include her loving husband of 31 years, Joseph "Randy" Branscome of Penelope; daughter, Lisa Mynar and husband, Anthony, of West; granddaughters, Stephanie Shirley of Hillsboro, Lyndsey Shirley and significant other, David, of College Station, Kaylie Mynar of North Richland Hills, and Whitney Barker and husband, Dustin, of Buda; great-grandchildren, Austin Lewis, Mason Lewis, Maddox Montgomery, Hendrix Barker, and Skyye Morrow; brother-in-law, Ronnie Branscome and wife, Nancy, of Fort Worth; sister-in-law, Janetta Ellis and husband, Richard, of Waco; and numerous nieces and nephews.
