Virginia Potter, 68, of Arlington passed away Tuesday January 1, 2013 at Arlington Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, January 4th, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Mr. Harry Potter officiating. Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery in Milford. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM, Friday, prior to the service.
Virginia was born January 12, 1944 in Waxahachie to Benjamin Harrison and Mary Ellen (Crumpton) Potter. She grew up in Milford and graduated from Milford High School. For more than 20 years, she was a secretary with the Texas Department of Transportation. She was of the Baptist faith.
An outgoing person who enjoyed life, Virginia loved roller skating, old rock and roll, and playing slot machines. When she was younger, she enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include three brothers; Walter Potter and wife, Darlene of Meridian, Harry Potter and wife, Mona of Mead, Oklahoma, Randall Potter and wife, Sharon of Waxahachie; one sister, Doris Davis and husband, Alan of Hillsboro; niece, Melissa Potter; nephews, Bryan Potter, Nick Siratt, Mark Siratt, Eric Potter, Cory Potter, and Justin Potter; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, step-nephews, step-nieces and other extended family.
