Virginia Ann Seidler, 86, of Hillsboro quietly entered into eternal peace on Sunday, January 13, 2013, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro in the presence of her son and daughter-in-law. Memorial graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro with Rev. Danny Gilliam of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro officiating.
A resident of Hillsboro since age seven, Virginia was born July 31, 1926 in Mart to Luther Eucher and Martha Pearl (DeFord) Tinsley. On June 9, 1945 she married Henry Richard Seidler in Waco and he preceded her in death on December 3, 1993.
Over the years, she established many long-lasting friendships. Her passion in life was sharing time with her personal family and friends as well as her Southwestern Bell “family,” both of which she treasured. For over 30 years, Virginia was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 1974. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro and Hillsboro Eastern Star Chapter #769.
Virginia will be remembered for her beautiful smile and a gleem in her eyes that attracted those she had just met and always welcomed those she loved and cherished.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers, Leroy, Robert, Richard, and Donald Tinsley; and two sisters-in-law, Leola Tinsley and Mattie Tinsley.
Survivors include her son, Henry M. “Mickey” Seidler and wife, Dottie, of Hillsboro; two sisters-in-law, Genelle Tinsley of Denton and Rita Tinsley of LaGrange; four grandchildren, Angela L. Baker and husband, Tommy, of Pearland, Stephanie R. Seidler of Dallas, Jane M. Borne and husband, Tim, of Wesley Chapel, FL, and Tommy Anderson and wife, Angela, of Providence Village; six great-grandchildren, Chloe and Camden Baker of Pearland, Madison and Katrina Borne of Wesley Chapel, FL, and Zachary and Nicholas Anderson of Providence Village; and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Earhart for his many years of comforting care and concern for her. A special thanks must go to the staff at Town Hall Estates in Hillsboro, where she resided for the past five years. Her caregivers became genuine friends over the years. Their compassion, concern, and attention to her needs will always be remembered and appreciated.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hill County Paw Pals, P. O. Box 1533, Hillsboro, TX 76645.
