Virginia Thomas

Virginia G. Thomas, 86, of Hillsboro passed away Sunday evening, September 13, 2015, in Burleson. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Joe Bob Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at the funeral home.

Virginia was born May 15, 1929 in Hill County to Stailey and Grace (Mathis) Goodman. She attended Hillsboro schools. She was a homemaker and seamstress. A wonderful grandmother, mother, and wife, Virginia’s family was her life. She was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Daniel L. Thomas in March 2014; son, Danny Thomas; two brothers, Stailey Edwin Goodman and R. D. Goodman; and two sisters, Alice Ridlehuber and Ruth Mayo.

Survivors include her two sons, Rick Yates and wife, Susan, of Cleburne and Chris Thomas of Hillsboro; brother, Bill Goodman of Carrollton; sister, Doris Brown of Hillsboro; and two grandchildren, Amy Yates of Grapevine and Brendon Thomas of Hillsboro.
