Vivian Mason, 75, of Whitney, passed away on May 25, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 29, 2015, at the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney with Dr. Gerald Dudley officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.
Vivian was born on October 2, 1939, in Wilson, Oklahoma, to late Johnny and Irene (Priest) Duncan. On July 25, 1960, she married Marvin Allen Mason and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2012. A claims adjuster for All State Insurance Company, she retired in 2001 after approximately 20 years. She was a very faithful and active member of Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney where she was a member of WOW. Crafting and crocheting were her favorite pastimes as well as spending time with family and friends and playing games. She was an “outdoor” person who loved her horses.
Preceding her in death were a brother, Herbert Duncan and a sister, Barbara Duncan.
Survivors include children, Terry Allen Mason and wife, Susie and Tony Edward Mason and wife, Christy; grandchildren, Sabrina Mason, and Cody Mason and wife, Daphnie; great-grandson, Jaiden Burnett and great-granddaughter, Remi Jo Mason.
