Volene Drumm

Volene Drumm passed away at Park Plaza Nursing Home in Whitney on January 17, 2005. She was the daughter of John Fletcher and Alma Daisey Everage Rabon. Volene married Lafe T. Drumm in Oklahoma in March, 1972. She was a bookkeeper for Texas Aircraft Milling for 20 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Irving. Volene liked to sew, fish, loved to grow flowers and roses. She loved to travel and her greatest accomplishments was when she received her Pilots licence. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Lafe T. Drumm and brother, Alcus W. Rabon. Survivors include her children, Leon Medford of Irving, Lelia Drumm of Irving, Linda Broome and husband, Rex of Lakeside Village; grandchildren, Mike Grabeel , Jr. and wife, Chris of Irving, Alan Broome, Jr. and wife, Misty of Dallas, Amy Harden of Lakeside Village; great grandchildren, Max Grabeel of Irving, and Cole Harden of Lakeside Village.
