W. L. Callaway

W. L. "Son" Callaway, 83, of Whitney died June 29, 2004 at his residence. He was the son of Luther and Lillian Johnson Callaway. He married Dorothy Dyer on December 20, 1940. He had lived in Whitney all his life and farmed for many years and then worked for the Whitney Schools and Whitney Hospital. He was a member of Towash Baptist Church in Whitney. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ormand, Joe Chesley and Alton Callaway; sisters, Ouida Eubank, Vera Eubank, and Marie McCown. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Whitney, sons; Joe Mike Callaway and wife, Gracie of Whitney, William Thomas Callaway and wife, Marilyn of Whitney; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and expecting 2 more.
