W. D. Parks

W. D. Pat Parks, born March 28th, 1916 in Allen Bend, Texas left us on June 5, 2007. He was the son of Frank and Emma Golden Parks. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was also owner and operator of a grocery store. He married Louise Necessary on April 10, 1950. He was of the Baptist faith; a member of DAV, RVOS and VFW. This amazing wonderful man lived his special life of 91 yeas with a love for friends, life, and family. Pat loved watching bull riding, listening to country music, and winning a game of dominos. He is preceded in death by his mother, Emma Kurten, wife, Louise Parks, and son, Dwayne Parks. He is survived by his daughter, Patty Gill and husband, Ricky Gill of Houston, daughter, Janice Parks and partner Karen Abbot of Rowlett; daughter-in-law, Tanya Parks Luker of Rio Vista; grandson, Matthew Parks and wife, Lori of Rio Vista and 3 great granddaughters, Bailey and Brooklyn Parks of Weatherford and Taylor Parks of Santa Anna.
