Walter Bailey

Walter Lawrence Bailey, 52, of Patterson, Louisiana, formerly of Whitney, passed away at a Waco hospital on December 7, 2013. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Walter was born on November 24, 1961, in Morgan City, Louisiana, to James C. and Eloise (Mendoza) Bailey. He grew up in Whitney and graduated from Whitney High School before moving back to Louisiana in 2008. Fishing and hunting were favorite pastimes. He also loved his grandchildren very much and enjoyed playing with them.

He was preceded in death by his father and a daughter, Stacie Bailey.

He is survived by his mother, Eloise Bailey, of Patterson, LA; daughter, Stephanie Bradford and husband, Jayson, of Irving; step-daughters Nicole Sosbee of Whitney and Mary King of Fairfield; brothers, J.C. Bailey and wife, Judy of Scroggins and Boyd Bailey and wife, Judy of Whitney; grandchildren, Stacie Bradford and Daemyn Bradford, both of Irving; step-grandchildren, Cody Bailey, Lane King and Brent Sosbee.
