Walton “Skeet” Taylor, 83, passed away on Friday, May 04, 2012 at his home in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 7th, 4 p.m. at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, with interment at Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.

Skeet was born September 27, 1928 to George and Ophelia Petty Taylor. He grew up in the Whitney area, and served in the Army from 1950 to 1952. He married Reta Arnold on August 15th, 1953, and they moved to Fort Worth. They were married for 52 years before Reta preceded him in death in 2006. Skeet retired from Lennox Industries in 1979. He attended Friendship Baptist Church in Hurst, and remained a lifelong member of Towash Baptist Church in Whitney.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, brothers Joe and Wilburn Taylor, and sister Opal Taylor McCowan.

Survivors include his daughter Cindy Wilmot of Grapevine, TX, and his son Jimmy Taylor and wife, Cindy of Colleyville, TX; grandchildren, Allison Frey, Micah Taylor, Calah Alexander and husband, Christopher, Hudson Taylor and wife, Lesley, and Jackson Taylor; 5 great grandchildren ; brothers, Weldon, Johnnie and wife, Connie, Roland, and Clifton and wife, Regina; sisters Mable Stroud, Verna Harris and husband, Bob, Gracie Callaway and husband, Mike, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Hospice, 4100 International Parkway, Suite 140, Fort Worth, TX, 76109.
