Wanda Del (Mercer) Campo

Wanda Sue (Mercer) Del Campo, 72, of Arlington passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013, in an Arlington hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Pastor Frank Peugh officiating. Burial will follow at Salem-Irene Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Wanda was born November 25, 1940 in Penelope to Arch M. and Rebecca Ilene (Minfee) Vest. She grew up in Irene and Mertens and attended school in Bynum. Beginning in 1969, she started a 35 year career with Tex Star Industries in Grand Prairie. Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Carl; and sisters, Blanche, Marie, and Joyce.

Survivors include her spouse, Alfredo Del Campo of Arlington; children, Thomas Ledbetter and wife, Ruby, of Irene, Vonda Ledbetter of Arlington, Rose Marie of Sachse, and Richard Mercer and wife, Holly, of Arlington; 11 grandchildren, Shannon, Clint, Matt, Kelly, David, Robert, Shae, Tiffany, Jared, Justin, and Anthony; and 14 great-grandchildren, Dacia, De-kiah, Ashley, Bianca, Dominick, Kadence, Zavier, Gabriel, Jackson, Gabrielle, Robert, Jr., Chaslyn, Caitlyn, and Madison.
